Literary Degradation
In a world where the minimum effort leads to extended praise, adoration and glory, I choose to remain at the very back of the party—actually I prefer not to attend it at all.
Every sense of beauty, elegance, harmony, integrity, zeal, and diligence is slowly drifting away. It is being shoved by the modern waves of terribly low and primitive standards, as to drive people towards a miserable mental and emotional state.
A significant part of contemporary literature is turning into a trashy environment filled with vulgarity, grossness, and deceit. It is an offense to humans in general but also to all the actual good writers from both the past and the present, who put genuine effort into their crafts.
Reading can serve, indeed, as entertainment too—not every book is meant to teach people about morality and offer life lessons based on their core. But porn, deterioration, and an overall sick interpretation of reality are being highly normalized nowadays, as to even be required, in order for writers to be published.
At that point (and at many others), I ask myself where the cameras are—it seems to me a joke of very poor humor.
